My experience with bodywork began long before I enrolled in formal training. After suffering a debilitating injury from overtraining, I was told my collegiate running career was over. This pivital moment is when I discovered the benefits of yoga, massage and energywork. I enrolled in my first Hatha yoga class and found a skilled massage therapist. After one year of regular yoga and massage, I returned stronger than before and ran an All-SEC performance in cross-country after only six weeks of training. This is where a seed was planted that would eventually grow into a lifelong journey in the healing arts.
After graduating with a Master’s degree from the University of Georgia, I returned to school and completed my massage training at the Atlanta School of Massage in 2004. While in massage school, I served as a live in house “Mother” and massage therapist for a residential drug rehabilitation program. In the years since, my work has primarily been in clinical settings specializing in rehabilitative massage due to injury and chronic pain. Recently, my focus on energywork has been rekindled and I now offer Reiki services. I have completed my Reiki Master studies and will be offering classes and attunements in the near future.

I am very passionate about helping my clients stay healthy, active and balanced no matter what his or her starting point is. Each session is tailored specifically for each person to increase awareness of his or her musculoskeletal tension or energetic patterns. As we do this, I work with you to release these patterns, thereby activating the body’s inherent ability to heal and maintain balance. I see it as a sort of unwinding of the disfunctional patterns of the body.
I currently work out of my home office in Prosper, Tx. My other professional ventures include a level one Qi Gong instructor certificate and Flutterby designs where I make hand knotted malas and other types of soulful jewelry made with semiprecious gemstones.
